Our Daily Schedule includes Chapel, Computer Labs for 4's,
Spanish Language Classes for 3's beginning in
mid-January 2010!
Schedule and Times:
Classes will be conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays from August through May. MDO will observe Duncanville ISD holidays and inclement weather days. Please refer to the television or radio for Duncanville ISD school closings.
MDO operates from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We request that you bring your child no earlier than 8:50 am and pick them up promptly at 2:00 pm. A late fee of $5.00 for every 5 minutes after 2:05 pm may be charged.
Arrival and Departures:
Teachers are required to sign your child in upon arrival. Every child must be signed out; therefore no child will be released from the playground or outside premises.
Upon arrival, please take your child to thier classroom. Prepare them for being left in advance. A quick hug and good-bye is best for you, your child, and the teacher. Long departures cause uncertainty and anxiety. Mothers in the room and crying children upset all the children. Your child is in good hands.
Should a child continue crying and be inconsolable, the director will notify parent within a 20-minute time frame. Trauma is not good for anyone!
Lunch:
Each child should bring a lunch with foods easy to manage as well as their own drink. Please send sippy cups, juice boxes, or other containers that don’t spill easily. We do not have a cafeteria or snack machines.
Naptime:
After lunch, the nursery and the 2’s class will observe a period of rest. Cribs and sheets are provided in the nursery and mats in the 2’s.
