Go Serve

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

We invite you to put your training into practice by serving others and making disciples in your homes, your church family, your community, and everywhere you go.  Here are some GO opportunities:

  • Volunteer - Want to serve in the church somewhere (in worship, children's ministry, youth ministry, hospitality, meals, and more)?  Contact the church office or one of the following ministers:
    Jeff Conrad (jeffconrad@ourgraceplace.org) or
    Jerry Gonzalez (jerrygonzalez@ourgraceplace.org).

  • Discipleship Group Leader - Begin and lead a D Group to help others mature in their faith, build relationships, and support one another.  Contact Jerry Gonzalez or Kim Lowe if interested in starting a D Group.

  • The Nehemiah Project - This ministry provides transitional housing, training, bible study, and mentoring to former convicts.  Contact Stek Steck (steksteck@me.com) or Devon Wallace (devonwallace.gpp@gmail.com) for more information on how you can get involved.

  • Food Pantry - Our church hosts an on site food pantry for local community residents.  Food Pantry hours are Mondays from 10am-12pm and Tuesdays from 3pm-5pm.  Contact Rosa Flores (rosaflores@ourgraceplace.org).

  • Outreach Event Coordinator or Volunteer - We have several yearly events where we reach out to our community in various ways and are always needing coordinators and volunteers  for each one.  Contact the church office if interested and for more information.
    • CLAY Leadership Class at Central Elementary - Thursdays beginning in September help teach a leadership skills class (30 min) for 3rd & 4th graders twice a month. For more info on CLAY check out their website here.   Contact the church office if interested in being a teacher or assistant teacher.
    • Light Up the Night Trunk or Treat  - This is our annual fall festival where families decorate their cars, host a game, and pass out candy that the church has collected.   We also encourage our church to team up and host special events on Halloween night in their neighborhoods or one of our local apartment complexes in order to get to know their neighbors and be God's light in their neighborhood.
