Meet Our Ministry Team

Ron Carlson
Preacher
(rcarlson8@att.net)

Sandra and I have been married for 42 years, and we have two grown sons with families of their own. Our great delight these days are our five grandchildren.  I'm in my 20th year of preaching and ministry at the GracePlace, and as I move toward 66, I'm looking forward to serving in new roles with this great church.

Jeff Conrad

Administrative & Care Minister
(jeffconrad@ourgraceplace.org)

My wife Martha and I married in 1977, and have been blessed with 6 children, and 4 grandchildren. It has been our privilege to be a part of the GracePlace family since 1990.  Martha and I began our formal training at Williamstown Bible College. I later earned degrees from Navarro College and Southwestern Assembly of God University.  I am a Certified Grief Counselor.

During my years of ministry in Ohio and Texas, it has been a blessing to have served as a youth minister, associate minister, an administrator for a Christian children's home, and as a children's minister. I now serve as the Administrative Minister for the GracePlace. Our ministry here has been the highlight of our spiritual journey; serving as an administrator for our church family, working with our elders, and providing pastoral care for this great faith community is an awesome privilege. Martha has taught the same Sunday School class for over 24 years, and is active in a couple of Ladies' Bible classes.

Jerry Gonzalez
Gathering Preacher
(jerrygonzalez@ourgraceplace.org)

Jesus searched hard and finally found me in my home church in Oak Cliff about 7 years ago, ready and willing to serve. I responded to His call.

God has used many people to bring me into ministry. My life has often been a crazy roller coaster ride with Jesus. Along for the ride has been my wife Perla. We married in 1995, and God has blessed us with 3 children: Hailey, Madalyn, and Jose.

I was born in Chicago, but raised right here in the Dallas Metroplex area. God has given me a passion for Duncanville and the surrounding areas to seek out His people and see how they can be transformed by the truths of the gospel.

I began preaching at The GracePlace in September of 2010, and plan on being here for a long time! I'm taking classes through the Dallas Community College System as well as Dallas Christian College. I’ll always be a student of the gospel, a sucker for homemade flour tortillas, and excited about spending time with my family and friends.

Kim Lowe
Family Ministry - Youth
(tuckeredout@gmail.com)

GracePlace has been my church family since I was a baby. My parents were heavily involved in leadership roles with the youth ministry my whole life, which introduced me to my passion for youth ministry at an early age. From there, I went off to Abilene Christian University, where I received a B.S. in Youth and Family Ministry and a M.A. in Religion.  Now my husband and I with our daughter share God's love and grace to the community that first introduced it to me.  What a blessing to serve now in the church family that always has and continues to bless me through their love, encouragement, and guidance.  God is truly awesome!

Stek Steck
Prison/Recovery Ministry
(steksteck@me.com)

I was born and raised in Pleasant Grove, the product of a registered dysfunctional home, a harsh reality that would later equip me for a life of ministry to the fringe people of contemporary dysfunctional America.

I attended Catholic Schools in Pleasant Grove, but graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, where my older sister lived. After twenty years of drug abuse, criminal activity, which included multiple incarcerations, and serious brushes with death, I entered rehab in 1994 and came to Jesus in 1998.

Anita and I married in 1994, and between us we have four children (2 deceased), 12 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. We have served this church in Prison and Recovery Ministries for a dozen years, and I am now the Executive Director of Grace Place Properties, where we partner with the Skillman Ave. church and Arms of Hope.

MEET OUR OFFICE MINISTRY TEAM

Anne Bunn
Office Ministry:  Secretary/Publications
(annebunn@ourgraceplace.org)

I consider myself a little Dutch girl with a Texas accent. I have lived in Texas since my family came to America from Holland in 1962 hoping for a better life. I married my high school sweetheart Barry in 1978, and we have 2 handsome sons and very cute grandsons.

Barry and I came to know the Lord in February 1979, when we joined Rochelle Road Church of Christ in Irving. We moved to the Duncanville area in 1997 and began attending DCC in September 1999. We were made to feel right at home with numerous people getting our family involved in many activities and ministries.

I joined the office staff in June 2003. I hope to serve you with the gifts God has granted me. I truly feel blessed with such a spiritual family here at the GracePlace.

Rosa Flores
Office Ministry:  Membership Information

(rosaflores@ourgraceplace.org)

I moved to Cedar Hill in 1998 and placed membership at this wonderful church shortly thereafter. In 2006 I retired from Frito-Lay, Inc. after 34 years of service. I am widowed, and have 2 married sons and 5 grandchildren. My grandbabies are the light of my heart.

I enjoy teaching the pre-kindergarten Bible Class on Sundays.

I joined the church staff as part-time data entry clerk keeping track of our membership in January 2006. We maintain an extensive database, and with folks coming and going, it seems there is never a dull day.

Bettie George
Office Ministry:  Bookkeeper
(bettiegeorge@ourgraceplace.org)

My family placed membership at the Duncanville Church of Christ in 1982 with two young daughters (Cassandra and Wendie). We were blessed to have this spiritual church family involved in our lives and the raising of two faithful children. Cassandra and her husband Jimmy Criswell, and my grandchildren Kierstin and Jett are active members of the Ovilla Church of Christ. Wendie and her husband Steven Ashcraft and my grandchildren Tanner and Kendyll are active members here at the GracePlace.

Dave and I (married since 1979) love this church, and enjoy opportunities to share the news of the wonderful missions and outreach programs this church has been and is currently involved with inside and outside this community. We are proud to have been able to participate in and observe how this church has grown in its selfless service to others.

I have the pleasure of working in the role as bookkeeper for the church since April 1, 2013. I truly enjoy spending my days with the joyful servants this church employs and sharing in their hopes, dreams, and goals for the continuing success of all their numerous ministries.
